Are we just faking #climateprotection? I have taken this picture for you last week. It shows one of 2 000 big trucks that circulate Germany's high ways every day in order to transport water bottles. On top of this, we have thousands of delivery trucks that circulate the streets of our cities every day in order to deliver water. Additionally, a typical household is buying water bottles for daily hydration at home...with their car. A huge negative #carbonfootprint that is created every day. But guess what? In Germany you can just open the tap and drink. If anybody does no trust the "old pipes" in their houses, it is easy to get the water tested, get filters and water dispenser machines that filter, chill and put bubbles into tap water. We have become a nation of water transporters, while it is just flowing itself. And this is the No. 1 unnecessary climate killer in our country. Our government has just announced a huge spending of billions of € in order to takes climate protection measures to the next level. This is money that we will have to cover as tax payers and strange enough, the catalogue of measures does not include the use of tap water... So we pay the water bottles, we pay the government measures and we still go nowhere with the combination of both.... And what if we just started to stop paying for water bottles?
