This year, Zynga proudly stepped in as the Title Sponsor of the Level Up Showcase, one of Ontario’s premier student game development events. Level Up brings together top post-secondary talent from across the province, giving students the opportunity to present original games, connect with industry leaders, and compete for recognition across a range of creative and technical categories. At our booth, we created a Zynga “Chill Zone”—a welcoming space where students and attendees could recharge, play games, and connect with our team in a relaxed setting. The space quickly became a hub of activity throughout the day, complemented by a Photo Booth experience where visitors could capture the moment and take home custom trading card-style swag. Across the event, our team had the opportunity to meet thousands of students and attendees, many of whom are the future of our industry. The level of creativity, innovation, and polish showcased in this year’s projects was truly impressive, making the competition for top awards incredibly strong. To close out the evening, Zynga took the stage to present the Best Overall Game Award, joining Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow, who presented Best Art, and Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming, Stan Cho. It was an inspiring finale that highlighted both the strength of emerging talent and the importance of continued investment in Ontario’s gaming ecosystem. We’re proud to support initiatives like Level Up and to play a role in fostering the next generation of game creators.
