Das Leben liegt in den Zwischenräumen
Bold thoughts about #Interstices Boldness is indeed necessary researching for interstices, Albert #Einstein und Leopold #Infeld emphasize in their book 'Die Evolution der Physik'... Translation of the German Lecture "ZWISCHENRÄUME: Die verborgenen Schauplätze der Wirklichkeit" X. Scenografic-Colloquium DASA, Dortmund 2012 Maria Reinecke, Berlin www.dasa-dortmund.de Abstract: The modern physics of the XX. Century has led to a fundamental revision of our ideas about the universe and our relationship to it. Bodies and their reaction no longer stand in the foreground, but what happens in between them, in between the interstices; energy, activity, relationality, interdependence, change are the actual facts of the world and form the backdrop for a new, dynamic thinking and understanding of reality/actuality. We still live with the vague idea that we are isolated subjects, faceing a world of clearly shaped, static, definitely localizable, quantifiable objects, basically separated from us... It makes a difference how we think the world and imagine it: statically "reified"as reality (res - thing) or dynamically "interstitially” as a vital process of activity, relationship, dependency. In the interspaces concretional processes are taking place; potentiality is turned into actuality. Intersticial thinking opens the view for the dynamic process of events between things, between me and the world, between me and others; it opens a new perspective, that allows changes and development, creates a new, is open to the future and shapes our life, because: the way we think we live...
