MECHQUBIT is exploring mechanical qubits, where quantum information is encoded in the vibrational motion of nanoscale devices to achieve longer coherence times. The project brings together expertise from Prof. Adrian Bachtold (ICFO), Fabio Pistolesi (CNRS), and Christoph Stampfer (RWTH Aachen), building upon years of research into mechanical qubits and nanoscale quantum devices. Zurich Instruments is excited to be part of this newly-launched EIC Pathfinder project, contributing our expertise in time-resolved measurements and high-performance electronics alongside the consortium partners.
