​It is heartbreaking to hear of her passing, but Dato' Shari -as she was fondly called- is now in a better place. She was a true iron lady, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have worked alongside her. ​Recently, I had a sudden urge to reach out and say hello, but I missed the chance. It is a delay I deeply regret. This serves as a painful reminder to always make the effort to check in on our colleagues and ex-colleagues, because you truly never know how much time you have left. ​I will miss Dato' Shari dearly. May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannah. Al-Fatihah.
