At the Humanoid Days 2026, hosted by the Institute for Factory Automation and Production Systems (FAPS) at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, Eva-Maria Schweiger and Ernst Neppl had the opportunity to explore the latest developments, practical use cases and value creation potential of humanoid robotics. In addition to gaining valuable insights into emerging technologies and real-world applications, the event provided an excellent platform for engaging with experts from both academia and industry. Events like these play a vital role in understanding technological advancements at an early stage, connecting expertise and jointly developing new perspectives for industrial value creation. To ensure that Germany and Europe remain technologically competitive in the years ahead, we need innovative ideas, application-driven research and close collaboration across the entire value chain.
