In 2018, a student walked into a high school outreach program hosted by Zimmer Biomet, not knowing where it might lead. That student was Elena Parial—now a Quality Engineer, who has returned to the same environment that first sparked her interest in orthopedics. A true full-circle moment. For over a decade, the Zimmer Biomet Foundation has partnered with The Perry Initiative to expand STEM opportunities for young women and introduce them to careers in orthopedics.
