I am excited to share my first Journal publication titled Experimental Noise Characterisation of Phase-Locked Tandem-Rotor in Edgewise Flight with you, in which we present the experimental noise directivities of a synchro-phased tandem rotor assembly under edgewise flow. The results obtained in this flow regime demonstrated different behaviours compared to prior studies conducted in hover/axial flight. This difference is postulated to be associated with unsteady loading, which could be caused by both the presence of edgewise inflow and neighbouring rotor. The experimental results aids the understanding of multi-rotor noise field and supports future efforts to reduce their operational noise. I want to thank my PhD supervisors Esmaeel Masoudi and Mahdi Azarpeyvand as well as Burak Buda Turhan MRAeS for their support and the many resources they made available to me throughout the publication process. I also want to express my gratitude to my former supervisor Bin (Nick) Zang for his guidance and encouragement during the early phases of my project. Last but not least, this project will not have been possible without the generous funding and guidance from Embraer, Eve Air Mobility, and EPSRC.
