Dr Miguel Stanley, Founder & Dentist at White Clinic in Portugal, shares his thoughts about integrative biological dentistry, metal intolerance and his case with Zeramex XT: “We owe it to our patients to continuously update our knowledge. New things take time to implement and should never be rushed. Dentistry should not be led by marketing but rather by data and science. Patients are also getting smarter and there is more information than ever before. The age of integrative biological dentistry is coming. I chose to make that shift discreetly before the pandemic and in the past 24 months have worked very hard with my dedicated team and top scientists to study the best new ways to heal our patients from systemic toxicity caused by old failed dental treatments. This is not as easy as it seems and requires an overwhelming new set of powerful technologies and well-established protocols and we took our time to create successful workflows around this. Building on very solid experience we had in advanced esthetics, implant dentistry and digital workflows, we have applied the best of holistic and integrative biological medicine and dentistry to cosmetic implant dentistry. It all starts with blood tests to measure inflammation in the body, Vit D as well as allergies to metals. We always do a CBCT to study the bone in 3D and iOS scans to design the smile and new bite. Like architects. Then we take our time to plan and create a strategy with the patient. Our work is beyond dentistry, connecting your oral health to total systemic health. The results are impressive. This case does not begin to show the patients dramatic health improvement in the first 6 months after removing her front teeth that had cysts around failed old root canals that never caused her pain. We replaced them with metal free ceramic implants as she was intolerant to metal. All the work was done in house. We are doing things differently, and hopefully inspiring change in an industry ripe for disruption and in need of change. We believe that the mouth and jaw should have no inflammation at all and aim to use all we have learnt over the last 21 years to heal so much more than your smile. We compound all this therapy with stem cells, ozone therapy, photobiomodulation, IV treatments, and so much more. The White Clinic is truly ahead of its time.
