“Customers want flavor and quality - as sustainable as possible.” 🌱 This is exactly what Susanne and Roland are working on together with 110 colleagues in our development laboratories across Germany, the US, Hungary and Poland. Together, the teams develop formulations that combine sustainability, functionality and great taste. A key focus is finding alternatives to raw materials such as soy and palm oil without compromising stability, texture or flavor. One example is the use of citrus fibers, which arise as a by product of pectin production. They can be used for stabilization while supporting both circularity and Clean Label concepts. ♻️ Modern product development means balancing many different requirements at once, from sustainability and raw material availability to functionality and consumer expectations.
