We are happy to be at LIBER this year! On day 1, Kenneth Ruud from Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) started with some important takeaways; the value of information in today's world. Access is of course key, but even more it's about trust. Know the value of your information! A timely reminder that protecting trusted information is essential for protecting society itself. As misinformation spreads more easily, building information resilience has never been more important. Evidence can inform policy, but it also requires critical thinking and an understanding of different perspectives. Another important message from the keynote is that the scientific system is not broken. Like any system, it has loopholes that can be exploited. We should focus on identifying those weaknesses, strengthening research integrity, and continuously improving the processes that underpin trust in science. Further there were a lot of sessions from libraries to discuss important topics like Open Access, sustainability, data management and, of course, AI implementation and Al literacy. One of the sessions that resonated with us was from IE University's Alicia Fátima Gómez Sánchez, PhD and Wageningen University & Research's Cristina Huidiu and their collaboration in supporting their students with a responsible AI tool. Further, how a group of Norwegian universities is approaching AI literacy is worth noting. Dagfinn Dybvig, AI team lead at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) explained the challenges for librarians and how they are solving this with a "train the trainer" model. We really value the practical approach with case examples. We ended an inspiring day 1 with an inspiring sunset and a beautiful view over Trondheim Excited for what day 2 will bring! A special thanks to our Head of Marketing, Lisette van Kessel, for sharing these valuable insights! #Zendy #DiscoverZendy #ResearchIntegrity #OpenScience #InformationLiteracy #AIInLibraries #LIBER2026
