Reflecting less light than charcoal. ✨ Kepler-1 is a binary star system consisting of a yellow, sun-like main sequence star Kepler-1A and a faint secondary star Kepler-1B. Remarkably, Kepler-1B is the darkest known exoplanet yet, reflecting less than 1% of the light from its parent star, which means less than charcoal. This extreme blackness implies that it absorbs almost all incoming light, with only a reddish glow emanating from its burning surface as thermal radiation. Thanks to ZEISS UNIVIEW™ software for astronomical visualizations from ZEISS Planetariums, stars and their unique characteristics can be brought to planetarium domes, allowing us to explore the universe in unprecedented details. ⭐ #ZEISS #Planetarium #Technology
