What is really inside your smartphone? In our NanoLab, young people explore this question hands-on and discover the fascinating world of nanotechnology. 📱 NanoLab is a laboratory where students can discover the fundamentals of semiconductor technology. One highlight is the Yellow Room, a cleanroom with yellow light that protects UV-sensitive photomasks during processing. This is where photolithography is carried out to transfer fine patterns onto microchips. 🧑‍🔬 From understanding the scale of “nano” to designing photomask patterns and examining microchips layer by layer, complex concepts become tangible and easy to understand. The hands-on science workshop, in collaboration with Technische Hochschule Rosenheim and MINTnetz18+, sparks interest in research and innovation. At ZEISS, inspiring curiosity for science and technology is part of who we are. Through our “A Heart for Science” initiative, employees share their knowledge and help young people experience innovation firsthand. #ZEISS #NanoLab #AHeartForScience #STEM
