The strongest feedback in Beijing came from inside the demo car 💥 At Auto Beijing, ZEISS Microoptics enabled customers, partners, and stakeholders to experience holographic windshield displays directly in an integrated vehicle setup. Our live demo allowed them to explore the technology first-hand and evaluate its potential in a real application context. The discussions centered on a key question: how the windshield itself is evolving into an active display surface within the smart cockpit. In these conversations, holographic windshield display technology played a central role as part of this transformation. The keynote by Stephan Hoefer and the panel discussion provided valuable technical impulses. Building on this, discussions with customers became highly concrete, focusing on validation, integration into vehicle architectures, sourcing readiness, and scalability within industrial environments. Throughout the event, André Kutz and Sven Schwab actively contributed to these exchanges, engaging with customers and partners directly at the demo and in follow-up discussions, helping to translate technical concepts into practical application scenarios. Auto Beijing once again showed that the shift is already underway: glass is no longer just a passive component, but an active interface. With our scalable holographic technology platform, ZEISS Microoptics is contributing to making this transition ready for real-world automotive applications.
