MBA @ NYU Stern | LunaCap Fellow | The Better Veteran

When I applied to MBA programs, I applied to exactly one school. Looking back, that was an extremely Enlisted thing to do. I had no real data on whether my GRE, GPA, or military background was competitive at the schools I wanted. So I picked NYU Stern because I liked the program (and the MHA that came along with itΒ πŸ’°), and because I had the pre-existing NYC background from undergrad, threw all my eggs in the basket, and hoped. If Stern had said no, I'd have burned a full year before I could apply again. A year of plans on hold. A year of "what now?" For most veterans applying to traditional full-time MBA programs, that single rejected cycle is also a six-figure mistake, costing $200K+ in delayed post-MBA earnings alone, plus in-program earnings. The cost of applying blind adds up fast. I got lucky. Stern said yes. But luck isn't a course of action. So I'm announcing The Better Veteran's partnership with Military MBA Consulting. Emily Sawyer Kegerreis and her team have helped hundreds of veterans get into the country's top MBA programs, not by promising admissions, but by giving them the pattern recognition I never had: β†’ Which schools actually fit their profile (and which don't) β†’ How to position military experience for civilian admissions committees β†’ Where merit-based scholarships are realistic vs. wishful thinking β†’ How to match your specific GI Bill tier (50–100%) to the schools where it actually goes the furthest We built Military MBA Consulting a free MBA ROI Calculator that shows veterans the full financial picture, making it that much more of a no brainer to work with the Military MBA Consulting team. It calculates current military pay, in-program income (with GI Bill or VR&E + disability), tuition coverage at 27 top programs, and post-MBA earnings by industry. It's the calculator I wish I had when I was applying, and one that would've made me feel less blind about applying. Link in comments.
