📖 Recently, I’ve been reading Spiritual Game Plan — a book all about competing with joy and godliness ✝️⚽️ 💬 While I don’t compete at a high level myself, the final chapter was for those of us involved in sport off the pitch — coaches, mentors, or anyone supporting players. Here are a few takeaways that really stuck with me 👇 1️⃣ Coaching is an opportunity to use our God-given talents to serve the players entrusted to our care.
2️⃣ Whatever your role, give it your best — not for praise or recognition, but to please the Lord (Colossians 3:23).
3️⃣ Focus more on what you do and the impact you make than on what others think of you.
4️⃣ Always see players as people first, athletes second. 🤔 Personally, I think these are powerful values for any Christian working in football — or in any sport! 💡 I’d love to hear your thoughts:
👉 How do your values influence the way you approach your role?
