⚽️ A fantastic way to end an incredible chapter with Bridge the Gap Football 🏆On Saturday, I had the privilege of attending the annual Bridge the Gap Football National Tournament. It was a brilliant event (even if we did get knocked out early 🫣) and a fitting way to round off my final week in Southampton and say goodbye to such an amazing charity. ⚽️Since attending my first BTG football session in my first year of university, I've seen the organisation grow tremendously. What started as a local community has expanded to more locations across the UK and has even launched internationally in the US and Australia 🇺🇸🇦🇺. It's been incredible to witness that journey! On a personal note, I want to thank Tristan Lury for helping me rediscover my faith, investing time in me, and giving me the opportunity to first volunteer and then lead the Southampton site over the past three years. I'm also grateful to all of the BTG staff who have supported me along the way. These experiences have helped me grow as a leader and have been one of the most rewarding parts of my time outside of university. 🎓 When I first arrived at uni, Bridge the Gap gave me a community that helped me settle in quickly and build friendships I otherwise may never have made. Those relationships and experiences have had a huge impact on my university journey. As my time as Men's and Youth Site Lead in Southampton comes to an end, I'm incredibly grateful for the memories, the people, and everything I've learned along the way. What a journey it's been ⚽️💙
