Founder of Food Plug

Food Plug has a new version out today on the App Store. One year ago, I launched it and, to date, it has taught me so much. We’ve been fortunate enough to get downloads across five continents, be invited to a Y Combinator talk at Monzo, get into the Redwood Founders Accelerator Programme and Startup Showcase event, be posted about on LinkedIn, and, more importantly, meet so many people. But soon I realised there was a lot to improve so I sent a survey around and got so much feedback. The focus changed from hitting cool milestones to user retention. And so today, I am launching Food Plug Version 3. This version is focused on London and includes: ⁃ Pop-up events and openings happening across the city ⁃ Editorial articles to help you discover somewhere new ⁃ One-tap quick reviews and a new deep review system ⁃ A redesigned way to save and organise your lists ⁃ Richer profiles to showcase your taste and achievements ⁃ Group Munch, which recommends restaurants based on your group’s preferences ⁃ A complete refresh of the app experience, still focused on curated food recommendations rather than showing you everything in the city like traditional map apps I’m also thankful to be joining Imperial College London this summer to begin my Master’s in Finance & Accounting. Thank you to everyone who’s supported me thus far. It is very much appreciated. download it here: https://lnkd.in/efienqhk #startup #app #venture
