Last week, I was honoured to be able to travel to Muscat, Oman for the 2024 Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists | RCOG World Congress. Presenting the findings of the audit Maya Alazzawi and I carried out - under the guidance and watchful eye of Dr Iris Derwig - to an international audience was an incredible experience. It was fascinating speaking to clinicians around the world to see how labour ward management varies and the unique challenges each region faces. It was also inspiring to hear of the latest advancements in O & G and women’s health in general. Overall, an invaluable experience which I am grateful for, made better by the exceptional Omani hospitality we received.
