First Class MSci Natural Sciences Graduate, Durham University | Incoming Risk & Compliance Analyst at BNY
I am delighted to share that I have graduated from Durham University with First Class Honours in MSci Natural Sciences (Physics and Earth Sciences). I am especially proud to have been awarded the Natural Sciences - Earth Science Prize for overall performance in Earth Science modules. Having only begun studying Earth Sciences in my second year, receiving this award from Durham University Department of Earth Sciences is particularly meaningful, and I am proud that my efforts culminated in this recognition. Other academic highlights over the past four years included achieving 90% in Mathematical Methods in Physics and in Modelling Earth Processes, two modules that captured the breadth of my Natural Sciences degree. Outside of my studies, the defining part of my Durham experience has undoubtedly been college rowing. It was a privilege to serve Durham College Rowing as Captain of Colleges, representing all seventeen college boat clubs, following my time as Treasurer. I also held the roles of Senior Women's Captain of Hild Bede Boat Club and Welfare Secretary of Senate Boat Club. This year, I represented college rowing on a national stage at BUCS Head, BUCS Regatta and Henley Women's Regatta qualifiers, before returning to my college to win at Durham Regatta with St John's College Boat Club (Durham). St John's College, Durham has been a constant source of support throughout my time at Durham, and I am especially grateful for the St John's Student Opportunities Fund, whose support enabled experiences that became defining parts of my university journey. I look forward to joining the John's alumni community.
