Artist & Creative Director | Interdisciplinary spatial practice at the intersection of art, design, science, and technology
Here is a film from the installation „Gefühlsrauschen“, which was on show at Galerie Ostermayr, Nürnberg for the public to try out during the Nürnberg Digital Festival NUEDIGITAL in June. In “Gefühlsrauschen”, brainwave sensors translate inner states into sound and light. Three people sit in silence—each emotion becomes music, each presence shapes color. No words. Just resonance. The music you hear in this video is fully generated by brainwaves and emotions. Three persons play three instruments with their emotions: piano, strings and cello. With this art piece I want to make the invisible felt, and the inner world seen. I believe when you open up to you inner self and start feeling, then you start to truly „see“. The reactions and feedback from the audience was exactly that and I this is why I make art. It showed the audience a moment of clarity, beauty and joy. I believe in times like today, we need a lot more like that. Of course this installation, like all my work would have never been possible with my amazing collaborators, highly creative people from all over the world. This installation was only possible to bring to life with the collaboration of Davide Santini, Maurice, Andrew Hockey, Felipe Sánchez Luna, Steffen Kehrle, jelena gregov and of course BayernDesign who commissioned the piece.
