Fastbreak AI has named Maria Frantz Abernathy General Manager and SVP of Payments, a new role focused on building out embedded payments across youth and amateur sports. Abernathy joins from Waystar, where she served as SVP of Payments, and brings more than 25 years in fintech across Patientco, AchieveIt, and StratiMed. She will oversee the financial infrastructure connecting registration, ticketing, and travel transactions on the Fastbreak platform. Payments touch nearly every part of the youth sports experience, from registration to travel to gate.
