Last night at YEC Madrid we had the pleasure of receiving Antonio Garrigues Walker. Antonio is one of the most influential jurists and thinkers in Spain. Current honorary president of Garrigues, the largest law firm in southern Europe, and a life dedicated to law, diplomacy and public service, with numerous global distinctions. He also participates in the direction and presidency of multiple organizations and institutions of international reference. With a humanistic vision and a remarkable artistic sensitivity, at 91, his energy and curiosity are worthy of praise. Two things that really stayed with us. First, that Spain cannot be built looking only inward. The connection with what is happening beyond our borders is not pleasant to have, it is essential. And secondly, that optimism is a choice. It is the conviction that things can be better and that it is worth working towards it. Antonio is a living proof. Thank you very much, Antonio, for your generosity and your time.
