Great session yesterday with my BBA students at IE University, joined by Eduardo Paz, Co-founder and CEO of Feltwood. Eduardo shared the journey of building a climate tech startup based on mycelium-derived, bio-based materials — a powerful example of how innovation, science, and entrepreneurship can come together to address real environmental challenges. From circular economy principles to scaling sustainable materials in the market, the conversation offered students a very concrete view of what climate innovation looks like in practice. What made the session especially valuable was Eduardo’s honest, hands-on perspective: the trade-offs, the learning curves, and the reality of turning sustainable ideas into viable businesses. Always energising to see students engage so deeply with founders who are actively shaping the future of climate tech. Thanks, Eduardo, for sharing your experience and inspiring the next generation of business leaders.
