I am pleased to have attended the ISPE CaSA GAMP CoP Forum - sponsored by AstraZeneca - in Cambridge! I had the incredible opportunity to be one of only three students invited to attend the conference as part of a pilot initiative to explore student participation — and I am so grateful to have been part of it. The forum was truly insightful, offering a deep dive into the evolving landscape of GAMP compliance, digital validation, AI integration and automation in the life sciences industry. Hearing from experienced professionals provided invaluable context on how technology, quality and regulatory frameworks are converging to shape the future of the pharmaceutical industry. Moreover, I was able to develop my knowledge on the field from the practical lens of industry professionals. 🔎 My favourite presentation was definitely the one on AI integration pathways in the life sciences industry. It offered valuable clarity on how AI, when applied and utilised thoughtfully, can enhance both efficiency and creativity across the field. 🖥️ Beyond the presentations, I had the chance to connect and network with experts from across the industry — conversations and discussions that offered new perspectives and helped me better understand the real-world applications of what we study in class. 📈 A massive thank you to ISPE, AstraZeneca and the GAMP community for making this opportunity possible and for being so welcoming to students eager to learn and contribute. Furthermore, I would like to thank Hilary Mills-Baker and Jennifer Thompson for their continued support and guidance throughout this entire experience. This experience has truly strengthened my interest in pursuing a career at the intersection of engineering, quality and innovation in life sciences. I am excited to put what I have learned into practice and I am confident that this knowledge will prove beneficial in the professional realm.
