There’s something in Operations that people don’t talk about enough. The better it works, the less you actually notice it. Because the whole point of Operations is simple — make everything run without things breaking. And that creates a weird situation. When things are smooth → it feels normal. When something goes wrong → suddenly everyone sees it. If leadership doesn’t really understand Operations, it often gets misunderstood: 📌 It looks like “support work” 📌 Its impact is judged only when problems show up 📌 A lot of what it prevents never gets counted But that’s the reality: Operations isn’t about being visible. It’s about making sure problems don’t become visible in the first place.
