D2C skincare brand CHOSEN by Dermatology has raised $5 million in a Series A round led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from BOLD (L’Oréal’s corporate VC), Alkemi Growth Capital, and a group of dermatologist‑angel investors. The Chennai‑based startup, founded by Dr Renita Rajan, focuses on evidence‑based, science‑driven skincare for melanin‑rich Indian skin. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen research and development, expand its pipeline of clinically validated products, scale its dermatologist‑led Centre of Excellence, and hire talent across functions.
