"Do the AI engines your customers use share their sources?" After digging into it, the answer is almost never. We measured citation overlap across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Mode for thousands of consumer purchase prompts, here's what we saw: š Less than 7% of sources overlap between ChatGPT and other engines š Gemini and Google AI Mode share the most of any pair, but it's still less than 1 in 8 sources š A brand visible on ChatGPT can be nearly invisible on Gemini for the exact same question Up until now, most brands have been treating AI visibility as a single channel pick an engine, usually ChatGPT, and optimize for it. But each engine runs its own retrieval process and draws from its own pool of sources. What shows up on one has almost no bearing on what shows up on the others. For ecomm brands, measuring one engine gives you a partial picture of where your brand actually stands. The gap between what you think your AI visibility is and what it actually is across all three engines is probably larger than you'd expect. Read the full breakdown here: https://lnkd.in/e3R2bGN7
