AI clones of you can now mass produce your content, and it's virtually impossible to tell, so what makes a creator follow worthy? A few months ago, I attended a workshop where I had my first formal introduction to the Google Gemini suite, seeing how their tools fit into real workflows. This week, I was at Google Gemini's Summer Rooftop Party, surrounded by creators from completely different industries, in between ice cream stalls and panoramic views across London, reflecting on what it means to be a digital communicator in a sea of AI generated content, which holds its own respective channels in the space. Aside from the sweets bar, I most enjoyed chatting with creators who have built communities across completely different spaces. Technology. Lifestyle. Education. Health. Fashion. Entertainment. Just to name a few. Some had just started their content journey while others had been posting for years. And yet, despite how different everyone's content was, so many of the conversations came back to the same questions. How is AI changing the way we create? How do you use these tools without losing the personality that made people follow you in the first place? And how do you keep up when the technology is changing almost every week? Since then, I've found myself thinking much more about the gap between having access to powerful technology and actually knowing how to use it well. It's something I see in healthcare too. Through building Orbion Connect, I've met incredible clinicians, regulators, engineers and founders working with AI and emerging technologies. Often, the biggest challenge isn't the technology itself. It's getting it into the hands of the right people and integrating it into the way they already work. The same responsibility applies to creators. The most interesting question isn't whether AI can create content. It's what creators can do with AI that they couldn't do before (or at least, now at a fraction of the time and financial investment), without losing the human element that made their work interesting in the first place. There are ethical concerns with AI safety, from being transparent with your audience to climate consciousness, and discriminating between when AI is a valuable accelerator vs using it as first port of call for tasks we’re more than capable of completing with slightly more effort ourselves. A brilliant evening meeting creators across so many different industries, reconnecting with familiar faces and experiencing a very different side of the AI ecosystem. Thank you to the Google Gemini team for bringing us together. And yes, the 360° rooftop views of London weren't bad either. I’d love your support on my social media pages @medbaddieee where I’ll be posting clips of the day! #GoogleGemini #GeminiAI #ArtificialIntelligence #ContentCreation #machinelearning #Event #GenerativeAI #DigitalInnovation #HealthTech #MedTech #HealthcareInnovation #PersonalBranding #Networking
