Throwback to when I had the privilege of serving as a lead volunteer for a collaboration between ESH@Tampines and Tampines West CSN.   At that point, I had only been actively volunteering with ESH@Tampines for about three months before I was approached with this nearly irresistible opportunity. I was honestly surprised to be entrusted with such a responsibility so soon. But knowing that multiple people had placed their faith in me became a strong motivation to give my fullest to the project.   In the end, the countless weekday night meetings were a small price to pay for the fulfilment I felt seeing hundreds of happy faces come together that weekend —celebrating inclusivity and diversity through adaptive sports, interactive activities, performances, and community participation. One idea, one collaboration, one step closer to an inclusive and empathetic society.   “If you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk together.” This experience reminded me once again why I’ll always choose to walk together — so that we can go further, make a lasting impact, and build a community that leaves no one behind.
