Hundreds of vendors, hundreds of products, and hundreds of people gathered in one place, Infosecurity Europe. What was I looking for? Taste. Colour. People. Vision. Uniqueness. Did I find it? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I spent nine hours walking the floor, speaking with people, and trying to understand which companies were building something meaningful with a clear vision behind it. Thankfully, a few stood out. They gave me hope, and they'll remain firmly on my radar for the years ahead. And then the big moment arrived, as always... John. John Strand. Whenever I see him, I learn something new or receive something valuable from him. He and his team at Black Hills Information Security and Antisyphon Training have influenced my journey from an absolute beginner to where I am today. John is someone I will always appreciate and respect, and I am grateful for the impact he and his team have had on my cybersecurity journey.
