Happy to share that my first book chapter has just been published. Grateful to my supervisors and co-authors, Purba Joshi and Rowan Page, for their ongoing guidance and support throughout this work. The chapter is titled “Rethinking assistive technologies through hybrid manufacturing: a case study on designing for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)” and you can access the publication here: https://lnkd.in/gBUji8_J The chapter appears in “Prototyping and Experiential Knowledge: Unfolding Shifting Views on the Use of Prototypes in Design Research”, a new volume that examines prototyping as a core mode of inquiry in design. The book brings together contributions from researchers across the world, offering rich perspectives on how prototypes generate knowledge, shape collaboration, and influence design practice. A big thank you to the editors Nithikul Nimkulrat, Silvia Ferraris, and Francesca Mattioli, PhD for the opportunity to contribute to this important collection.
