🌏 This World Environment Day, we're highlighting how innovation and partnerships can help accelerate the transition to a lower carbon food future. Reducing emissions from food production requires action across the entire value chain. That's why Yara is working with farmers, food companies, and partners to help decarbonize agriculture through Yara Climate Choice™ fertilizers. 🧑‍🌾 For more than a century, farmers have trusted Yara for high-quality crop nutrition. Today, Yara Climate Choice fertilizers deliver that same trusted performance, produced using lower carbon solutions such as renewable hydrogen and carbon capture and storage (CCS). 📉 With a product carbon footprint up to 95% lower than comparable fertilizers produced without these technologies, Yara Climate Choice fertilizers help reduce emissions while maintaining productivity in the field. Third-party verification provides confidence that these reductions are real and measurable. 🌾 From grains to coffee, leading food companies are already choosing Yara Climate Choice fertilizers to support their climate commitments and help reduce emissions from food production. We are also continuing to scale. This year, additional Yara Climate Choice fertilizers will be available. Produced using CCS at our fertilizer and ammonia plant in Yara Sluiskil, the Netherlands, these volumes achieve around a 40% reduction in carbon footprint compared to conventional fertilizers produced without CCS technology.
