Strengthening a Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive (DEI) Culture at Yara Africa & Asia⏩ Our diversity informs our identity and shapes our understanding of the world. And celebrating this diversity is an important way to not only appreciate the many backgrounds from which the members of our teams come, but to also educate ourselves further on the cultures of our region. 🎉 Our recent series of panels concluded with a session on our diverse, equitable and inclusive (DEI) culture here at Yara, with speakers Pongsin Thepruangchai (Government Relations & Public Affairs Manager), Renelle Delos Santos (Market Development Director), and Widia Marlina (Sales Agronomist) sharing examples of how they’ve created safe spaces for employees to speak up. Some of the behaviours in practice supporting our DEI efforts are to ⚖️ Be fair and consistent ✨ Create safe spaces 🤝 Support each other 🌍 And embrace differences Additionally, those in leadership roles are to also foster a psychologically safe environment in the workplace for all. Panel moderator Beda Merkelbach (SVP Asia Pacific) concluded with a poignant call-to-action: "Do ONE small thing next week that we can change and improve our culture ONE step at a time." 🫡
