Jayson Wright '26, '27 MPH already has plans for after graduation: to go back to his home state of Georgia. Inspired by his grandmother's four decades as a trauma nurse at a rural hospital, Wright hopes to build a career serving communities like the one where he grew up. "There is a serious shortage of healthcare professionals in places like my hometown, and rural healthcare systems are under stress," he says. At Yale, he's preparing for that future through research and public health training aimed at improving care for vulnerable patients.
