Yakima Valley College’s STEM and MESA programs recently honored student achievement at their end-of-year ceremony — celebrating persistence, academic excellence and the next step in each student’s journey. The event also welcomed back YVC alum Yoni Rodriguez, now a research scientist in environmental public health, who delivered the keynote address. Rodriguez shared his path as a first-generation college student from the Yakima Valley to a career focused on protecting human health through science.
