This week, I had the incredible opportunity to present my research on “Using Attention Mechanisms for Decay Chain Reconstruction in Collider Analyses” during the ATLAS annual meeting at Berkeley Lab! This research has applications in high energy physics analyses as well as methods of interpretability for Graph Neural Networks. It was exciting to share my findings and engage with other researchers passionate about the intersection of physics and machine learning. I'm looking forward to further develop this work and apply it to the study of the Higgs Boson this year. As the newest fundamental particle, discovered only in 2012, much about it remains a mystery. It has the potential to unlock insights into new physics beyond the Standard Model! I truly appreciated the valuable feedback and insightful discussions I had with fellow attendees. Also, I want to thank my mentor, Charlie Hultquist, and my advisor, Prof. Haichen Wang, for all your support and guidance throughout this project!
