Thrilled to share that our chapter, “LATAM States Contributions to the Investor-State Arbitration System: Treaty Drafting and Landmark Cases,” has now been published at https://lnkd.in/efHKs5-A OUP in the Oxford Handbook on International Law in the Americas at https://lnkd.in/eZ7-SDWy. This Handbook explores a wide range of international law topics in the Americas. Among others, international courts and tribunals, human rights, the law of the sea, and international environmental law. In our chapter we examine how Latin American States have actively shaped international investment law through treaty drafting, arbitral awards, and State practice—highlighting the region’s role in advancing the international rule of law in a time plagued by parochialism in various regions of the world and reluctance to complying with international law.
