Meet Fireman Kathy Fuller, a 20(+) year veteran of Grand Canyon Railway! Fireman Fuller joined Grand Canyon Railway in 2005 after a career in the Navy - working as a firefighter & welder in Southern California. While originally hired as a car cleaner, word quickly spread that she had a knack for all things mechanical! She quickly moved up the ranks; working in the car yard, then as an Engineer, and now the Fireman. As the Fireman, she works in tandem with the Train Conductor by serving as a "second pair of eyes" for the Engineer – looking for obstructions on the track, and assisting with groundwork. Fuller says, “The locomotive cab is the best office in the world, and the view is never the same… each day comes with exciting challenges!”. Regardless of the season, Kathy applies her expertise and skills to ensure that guests aboard Grand Canyon Railway enjoy a safe, smooth, and memorable ride.
