The Würth Group once again supports the UN Children’s Fund UNICEF with a donation of EUR 400,000. In the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in the southern Philippines, many children are growing up amid conflict, natural disasters, and poverty. UNICEF helps create safe learning spaces, provides learning materials, supports teacher training, and improves school development plans. At the same time, adolescents and young adults are encouraged to develop their own ideas, promote peaceful and respectful coexistence, and strengthen social cohesion in their communities together with parents, youth groups, and local decision-makers. Some 30,000 children, adolescents, and young adults will benefit directly from the donation, while approximately 54,700 more people will benefit indirectly through stronger schools, improved child protection systems, and peacebuilding initiatives.
