Building instead of arguing: Yesterday’s panel discussion at our booth focused on the topic of “Cooperation in construction – multi-party contracts”. Prof. Dr Heiko Fuchs from the law firm Kapellmann spoke with Claus Genschow from STRABAG and Dr. Franziska Kluttig from Imago Flow about Integrated Project Management (IPM / IPA), a method for the cooperative and collaborative execution of construction projects. This method, which has been in use internationally for over 20 years but is still relatively new in Germany, is becoming increasingly important, particularly for larger, complex projects. Reason enough to have experts shed light on this topic! It was well worth it: the audience gained exciting insights and illustrative explanations of what distinguishes IPA from the conventional project execution, as well as its advantages and opportunities, but also its risks and hurdles. The conclusion: not every company is ‘IPA-ready’ (we are 😉) and not every project is suitable for the method. But if the conditions are right and the mindsets are there, new opportunities open up for an innovative, cooperative form of collaboration between all project stakeholders. A big thank you to everyone involved! 🙌 On the last day of IFAT, we have also put together an exciting programme for you: ⏰ 11.30 am: Career Pathways in STRABAG Group ⏰ 1.30 pm: New „Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive“ and the 4th Treatment Level #wte #strabag #StrongTogether #ShapingTheFuture #ifat2026
