In the context of the "MemTecPlus" initiative, WTA UNISOL collaborated with leading research partners to develop a microfiltration module for treating mine water. The objective was to develop a continuous-flow membrane filtration system capable of removing particulate-bound pollutants, heavy metals - especially as a specific problem arsenic, and recoverable materials from contaminated water.   Our subproject focused on developing a demonstration module, implementing a practical pilot plant, and testing various membrane materials under real-world conditions. The PVC and PES membranes developed achieved promising results when operated with contaminated sludge from the "Roter Graben."   The project demonstrated the potential of innovative membrane systems for the treatment of industrial and mining process water, while also opening up new fields of application for our technologies.   If you have any further questions about this initiative, please check recomine website 👉 https://lnkd.in/dUUjMj_6 Or get in touch with Ilona Gerlach.   Thanks to our project partners: ➡️ FILK Freiberg Institute gGmbH ➡️ G-Werk 5 GmbH ➡️ Vowalon Beschichtung GmbH ➡️ Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau
