Los Angeles Metro recently expanded high-capacity transit with the grand opening of the first section of the Purple Line Extension, one of the largest and most complex transit infrastructure programs in the country. Section 1 includes three new stations and approximately four miles of tunnel beneath Wilshire Boulevard. We are proud to serve as engineering management consultant and owner’s engineer for the momentous project, supporting LA Metro from early environmental studies through engineering and construction across all three project sections. Congratulations to LA Metro, the city of Los Angeles and all of the partners involved in this high-impact achievement.
