From strategy 💭 to implementation 🏗️, strong partnerships across all levels of government are the 🔑 to effective climate action.    This week marked the inaugural meeting of the nine-country Steering Group of the Coalition for High-Ambition Multilevel Partnerships (CHAMP). We also joined Co-chairs Brazil and Germany in bringing together countries, partners and subnational leaders for a vibrant reception. Focus was on strengthening implementation, with #COP30 President H.E. Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago and Director of the COP31 Action Agenda Tuğba Dinçbaş as special guests, among others.   Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH also announced its 🆕 CHAMP implementation program supporting selected partner countries in strengthening multilevel governance for climate action. As the #CHAMPclimate Secretariat, we will work closely with GIZ to achieve these goals by strengthening knowledge and learning across the coalition.    Thank you to all Steering Group members, endorsers and partners who helped shape this important week in Bonn, and we look forward to continuing this arc through #COP31 in Turkiye 🇹🇷.    Read more ➡️ champ-climate.org    WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities C40 Cities Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) ICLEI UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) Bloomberg Philanthropies Climate High-Level Champions Ministério das Cidades Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection Under2 Coalition Rogier van den Berg Antonio Da Costa e Silva Jaeckel Ulf Mauricio Galván Gómez Gabriela C.
