Yesterday was the end of a wonderful GovTech {build} Hackathon journey for Team WiseEats. For the past 5 weeks, the team came together to understand the journey of grocery shoppers who are looking for healthier choices when they are shopping, the challenges they faced when comparing products and making that healthier decision. We even gained new knowledge π about nutrition labels when we talked to our HPB business owner. The solution might be simple: scanning the labels and using AI to compare and make the recommendation. But it took us many iterations and testings to get our simple product ready for showcase at the Finale. And we felt inspired by the encouragement and suggestions to make the app better from the people that visited our booth. Some even told us that they will use the app the next time they shop.π What is most valuable for everyone in the team is that we all learnt something new and get our hands dirty throughout this journey, be it problem discovery π§, vibe coding π§βπ» or pitching π£. Proud of the whole team and a big shout-out π to Charlene Chua, Deniece Tan βοΈ , Jinli Li and Qiaoyun Ye for coming together to work on a product we truly believe that will enable our users to eat wiser.
