Parisa Asgharzadeh is a technical AI leader with over nine years of experience building and scaling AI systems across computer vision, natural language processing, and generative AI. She has led cross-functional teams and delivered production-grade solutions across industries, including healthcare, sustainability, and advanced analytics. Her work bridges applied research and real-world deployment, with contributions that include patented innovations and published research in machine learning. For over two years, Parisa has led the Vancouver City Chapter of Women in AI, growing a vibrant and inclusive community of over 235 members. She drives initiatives that foster connection, learning, and career growth, including monthly Coffee & Connect sessions and collaborations with ecosystem partners. Notably, she has organized large-scale events such as the Vancouver Career Fair, which has engaged over 350 participants, and supported the Women in AI Symposium, a Canada-wide initiative that brings together leaders, researchers, and practitioners from across the country. Through her leadership, she has built strong partnerships and created platforms that amplify diverse voices in AI while strengthening Vancouver’s tech ecosystem. She is committed to expanding access to AI, supporting women at all stages of their careers, and cultivating a collaborative and inclusive community. Parisa is passionate about building responsible AI systems and creating environments where diverse talent can lead, innovate, and thrive.
