For years, women’s health has been treated as an afterthought in medicine and in technology. Now ŌURA is taking a different approach, launching a proprietary AI model built specifically for women’s health. The model supports questions across the reproductive health spectrum, from menstrual cycles to menopause, and combines clinical research with real-world biometric data such as sleep, stress, activity, pregnancy, and cycle patterns. One-size-fits-all AI systems rarely work well for women. Too often, women’s experiences are missing from the data, underrepresented in the research, or misunderstood by the systems meant to support them. This is why the design of AI is critical. According to Ricky Bloomfield, women’s health is “too complex—and too often overlooked—to rely on one-size-fits-all systems.” Source: This model is tailored to women, and it was intentionally designed to be: ⚡ Grounded in clinical science ⚡ Built on longitudinal, real-world data ⚡ Emotionally supportive rather than dismissive ⚡ Privacy-conscious, with conversations never shared or sold This is what more responsible AI can look like - systems designed with women in mind from the beginning, rather than retrofitted later. It is also a reminder that when more women influence what gets built, different questions get asked, and better products emerge. Women Shaping AI is a global community where women from all walks of life come together to learn about AI, build confidence and capability, and open doors for each other. The more women who help design and lead AI, the more likely we are to create technology that truly works for everyone.
