Turning urgent need into real solutions... Today we opened metropolitan Sydney’s first modular crisis accommodation units at Biyani House in Revesby with project partners Biyani House - Revesby Womens Shelter, Das Studio, SHAPE Australia, DT Infrastructure, Temple & Webster, Alinta Energy, Revesby Workers' Club and Arada Australia. The modular model delivers fast, sustainable and high-quality homes for women and children escaping domestic and family violence - thoughtfully designed and beautifully furnished to provide dignity, comfort and independence.  The launch included keynote remarks from The Hon Jodie Harrison MP, Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assaults, underscoring the urgent need for safe housing for women and children and emphasising the urgent need for safe housing and the power of collaborative action. This project was made possible through the NSW Government’s Core and Cluster funding program and the dedication of many partners and volunteers. Our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed their time, expertise and care, this is collaboration in action. Biyani House will provide independent living spaces and specialist case management for six women and their children.
