Glenfield House 🧡 Safety, stability, hope for older women experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. It was once a vacant aged care facility, now it’s a welcoming home that can provide up to 28 women aged 55 and over with safe transitional accommodation and the specialist support they need to rebuild their lives. Glenfield House is a powerful example of what can be achieved when government, community organisations and businesses come together with a shared purpose. We thank the NSW Government for embracing the ‘meanwhile use’ model, with the support of The Hon. Rose Jackson MLC, Minister for Housing and Homelessness, and The Hon. The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP Chanthivong MP, Member for Macquarie Fields, for joining us at the opening of Glenfield House. This project would not have been possible without the incredible commitment of our partners, Whiddon, Housing All Australians, Hume Community Housing, Urban Property Group and Temple & Webster as well as the many businesses, suppliers, donors and volunteers who generously contributed their time, expertise and resources. Most importantly, thank you to the Glenfield House frontline team. Your compassion, dedication and daily support are helping women feel safe, respected and empowered to rebuild their lives 🧡 Watch highlights from the opening event and the partnerships that made this possible.
