Over the past few weeks, our People & Culture team has been out in the community – connecting with people and showcasing the diverse career pathways a career at Council can offer. These moments are a great opportunity to highlight not only the breadth of roles across Council, but also the meaningful impact our people have in shaping our community every day. Recently, the team attended the Bangawarra Cultural and Careers Expo, where they connected with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Years 10 to 12 to explore pathways beyond school. It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights into career options and the wide range of programs and services Council delivers. We also joined the 2026 Illawarra Careers Expo, speaking with more than 4,500 students from across the region, along with strong interest from the broader community. It was inspiring to hear about future aspirations and support young people as they consider what’s next. At Council, we’re proud to provide supportive, hands-on pathways to help people start and grow their careers. Watch this space — our next intake of Cadet, Apprentice and Trainee (CATS) roles will be opening this August. To learn more and stay up to date, visit: https://lnkd.in/gxtB4p9D
